Description
abm | GFP-Tagged Lis1 Stable Expressing HeLa Cell Line | T6343
These particular HeLa cells stably express the LIS1 protein. which is also known as Platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase IB subunit alpha (PAFAH1B1). It is part of a complex called platelet activating factor acetylhydrolase 1B (PAFAH1B). PAFAH1B controls the amount of platelet activating factor (PAF) in the brain, which is thought to control neuronal movement. PAFAH1B1 also interacts with microtubules and is thought to be involved in cytoskeleton organization. PAFAH1B1 is one of the proteins that when the gene encoding it is lost or mutated, results in Miller–Dieker syndrome.
