Description
abm | AMY3 Stable HEK293 Cell Line | T6257
Amylin receptor-3 (AMY3) is an amylin receptor that is suspected to play a role in both Aβ and hAmylin downstream signaling. Amylin receptors belong to class B GPCRs and are heterodimeric complexes, formed by calcitonin receptor (CTR) association with receptor activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). Activation of amylin receptors in mammalian cells has been shown to raise cAMP and presumed to involve GS protein (Gs -guanine nucleotide-binding signal transduction protein) and stimulation of adenylate cyclase. AMY3 Stable HEK293 Cell Line allows for the study of the intracellular signal transduction pathways that are activated by Aβ or hAmylin and to further investigate whether their cytotoxic effects are mediated via this particular isoform of the amylin receptor.
