Description
abm | CPS I Stable Expressing CHO (CHO-CPS45-22) Cell Line | T6177
Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I (CPS I), a key enzyme in the urea cycle, was introduced to CHO cells by transfection with calcium phosphate to enable permanent CPS I gene expression. This cell line is suitable for use in the study of the urea cycle. Expression of CPS I results in decreased ammonium ion production, making these cells ideal for research regarding the affect of ammonia levels on cell growth and productivity.
