Description
abm | ERBB4 CYT1 Variant Stable Ba-F3 Cell Line | T6252
The ERBB4 CYT1 Variant Stable Ba/F3 Cell Line expresses full length ORF of ERBB4 CYT1 variant tyrosine kinase in MSCV-puro vector. The cells require IL-3 to grow.
ERBB4 belongs to the EGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases consisting of proteins which bind to epidermal growth factors. Although they are important in development as they aid in the development of proper organs during embryogenesis and also maintain adult cardiac function, these proteins are best known for their role in oncogenesis. ERBB4 binds to and is activated by neuregulins and other factors and induces a variety of cellular responses including mitogenesis and differentiation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cancer and the CYT1 variant may be a target for disease related studies.
