Description
abm | GRPR-Luciferase Stable PC3 Cell Line | T3021
The PC3 prostate cancer cell line is widely used to represent a highly aggressive form of prostate cancer. The GRPR-PC3-Luciferase Stable Cell Line has been stably transfected with pcDNA3.1/hygro/Luc705, resulting in the insertion of the Luc705 cassette. The Luc705 cassette is a Firefly Luciferase coding sequence containing an aberrant intron; which prevents the correct expression of the Luciferase gene. Removal of the aberrant by various mechanisms - such as a splice shifting oligonucleotide (Oligonucleotide Treatment) - allows for proper translation of the gene, resulting in bioluminescence of the cell. The GRPR-PC3-Luciferase Stable Cell Line is useful for studying intracellular delivery of oligonucleotides and oligonucleotdie-conjugates via receptor mediated targeting.
