Description
abm | Luciferase Stable IGR-CaP1 Cell Line | T6102
Luciferase Stable IGR-CaP1 Cell Line was derived from primary prostate cancer. To obtain the IGR-CaP1 cells, a retrovirus was used expressing the luciferase gene (pMEGIX-Luc vector), carrying an expression cassette encoding the firefly luciferase and green fluorescent protein (GFP) genes. The GFP-positive IGR-CaP1 luciferase-expressing cells were sorted for green fluorescence before amplification. The IGR-CaP1 cell line is a unique model derived from a primary tumor, which can reconstitute human prostate adenocarcinoma in animals and generate experimental bone metastases, providing a novel means for understanding the mechanisms of bone metastasis progression and allowing preclinical testing of new therapies.
