U87MG cells were transfected with the rtTA expression vector to generate the U87MG Stably Expressing Tet-on Cell Line. It can be used in vitro to stably transfect gene of interest cloned in tetracycline-responsive expression vector (i.e. pTRE2 with Hygromycin selection) and pick clones. With the addition of 1 µg/ml doxycycline, end users can test individually for induced gene expression under the tet-regulated promoter.
