General Information: NT-proBNP, cardiac hormone that plays a key role in mediating cardio-renal homeostasis, may also function as a paracrine antifibrotic factor in the heart. Acts by specifically binding and stimulating NPR1 to produce cGMP, which in turn activates effector proteins that drive various biological responses. Involved in regulating the extracellular fluid volume and maintaining the fluid-electrolyte balance through natriuresis, diuresis, vasorelaxation, and inhibition of renin and aldosterone secretion. Binds the clearance receptor NPR3.
Recomendation: N/A
Product Buffer: 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, 0.1% Proclin 300,pH7.4
Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃ upon receiving. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage.
Specificity: Recognizes native NT-proBNP
