Description
anti-CD152 | 359-020
Human CD152 (CTLA-4) is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed at low levels on activated T cells (1). CD152 is a high affinity receptor for the costimulatory molecules CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) and appears to function as a negative regulator of T cell activation (2, 3).
Isotype: Murine IgG1kappa
Immunogen: Stimulated human PBL’s and human CD152 Ig fusion protein
Specificity: Antibody ANC152.2/8H5 reacts with an extracellular epitope of human CTLA-4 expressed on activated T cells. It has been reported to cross react with dog (11, 12), pig, cow and cat CD152.
Functional Application: ANC152.2 blocks binding of CD152 (CTLA-4) Ig fusion protein to its CD80/CD86 receptor, and has been reported to modulate suppressive function of human T Regulatory Cells in Vitro (4). ANC152.2 can bind to intracellular CD152 in fixed permeabolized cells. Purified and F(ab’)2 forms of this clone have been used to block proliferation and/or IL-10 production by activated T cells in various models (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) .
