Description

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is a class of metalloenzymes, widely present in all living organisms (eg animals, plants, microorganisms, etc.). Based on its metallicity, SOD is classified into copper, zinc-SOD (Cu, Zn-SOD), manganese-SOD (Mn-SOD) and iron-SOD (Fe-SOD). SOD has physiological significance that can convert toxic superoxide free radicals into hydrogen peroxide, it is the main substance for scavenging oxygen free radicals in living organisms. It has been shown that there are up to 60 diseases directly related to oxygen free radicals and the level of SOD is known as an illustrated indicator of aging and death. SOD can prevent damage induced by superoxide free radicals at the cellular level and locally repair damaged cells. It plays an increasingly important role in the anti-oxidation of living organisms. SOD is one of the components of cosmetic products, approved by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China, as it can delay aging, regulate immune response and blood lipid levels, and prevent radiation.

Remarks:

It is recommended to reconstitute the product with sterile water to a final concentration of

1 mg / ml (10 KU / ml). Store the reconstituted product in aliquots at -20 ° C in a dark place. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and exposure to frequent temperature changes.

The use of strong acids and alkalis, strong oxidizers and high concentrations of organic solvents should be avoided to protect the product from denaturation.
