Description
abm | Stable Bcl-x Knockout Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line | T6080
The Stable Bcl-x Knockout Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line was generated from embryos of a pregnant mouse heterozygous for the bcl-x gene (bcl-x+/−). This stable cell line lacks the ability to express B-cell lymphoma-extra-large (Bcl-xL) but this deficiency did not induce compensatory changes in the expression of other Bcl-2 proteins. The Stable Bcl-x Knockout Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line showed increased sensitivity to various apoptotic stimuli. This cell line is also capable of re-expressing wild-type and Bcl-xL mutants which makes it a useful research tool in demonstrating how apoptotic regulation is involved in disease development.
