INTENDED USE:

Diagnostic Kit for Antibody IgM of Mycoplasma Pneumoniais a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Antibody IgM of Mycoplasma Pneumonia (MP-IgM) in human serum/plasma. It is intended for professional-testing.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:

Mycoplasma pneumonia is an important etiological agent of community acquired infections of upper and low er respiratory tracts in children and adults, w hich is mainly atypical pneumonia. M.pneumoniae has been reported as the cause of 25-30 % of all community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) cases.This pathogen has also been associated w ith non respiratory diseases as meningitis, encephalitis, pancreatitis or arthritis.The identification of the M.pneumoniae w ill help the administration of the disease w ith appropriate antibiotic treatment. B ut diagnosis of infection by this organism is difficult because culture is specific but slow (may require 3 w eek for results) and insensitive.For this reason the diagnostics is usually based on serological methods.This Mycoplasma Pneumonia (MP) antibody rapid test is intended to detect MP antibody qualitatively of IgM, and used as a screening test device and an aid in the diagnostics of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae disease.
