AN IMPROVED SURVEILLANCE TOOL IN THE LATE AND POST-CONTROL STAGES OF ONCHOCERCIASIS ELIMINATION PROGRAM

The SD BIOLINE Onchocerciasis IgG₄ test detects exposure to the parasite that causes onchocerciasis, Onchocerca volvulus, by detecting of IgG₄ antibodies to Onchocerca volvulus Ov16 antigen, one of the parasite’s antigens. Onchocerciasis is also called river blindness, a leading cause of preventable blindness in Africa.
