Description
Albumin Low Level Radial Immunodiffusion Kit to Quantitate Human Proteins | 114531
(Does not require patient sample dilution) Each kit package contains 3 x 24 well plates, three 0.20 ml vials of reference standards, ring reference table and directional insert.
PRINCIPLE
Human Albumin antigen is diffused from a circular well radial into a similar gel containing a Human Albumin antiserum. A precipitin circle between antigen and antibody forms indicating the antigen’s concentration, and continues to expand until both are equal. Following overnight incubation, the zone diameters of reference sera are plotted against the logarithm (base 10) of the antigen concentration. At such time equilibrium is attained, the reference sera zone diameters are squared and plotted against their concentration (linear). At intervals in between, a linear relationship does not occur. Unknown concentrations are measured by reference to the standard curve.
Storage and Stability: RID plates are stable for three years from date of manufacture. Recommended storage temperature is 2 to 8 degrees C° in the sealed package. Frozen plates are unsuitable for use.
*For in vitro diagnostic testing only.
