abm, T0225), C2Dt were immortalized through transfection with the pSV-4 plasmid with the SV40 large T antigen. These cells are tumorigenic and when exposed to LPS may secrete IL-6. It is a homogenous source of MHCII-/- macrophage cells for research.

The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available at abm . To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to final concentration of 6%, 6% Nu-Serum (Corning^™ 355100), and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution to a final concentration of 1%.
Carbon dioxide (CO₂): 5%, Temperature: 37.0°C.
abm does not recommend to use heat-inactivated FBS for cell culture unless specified otherwise.
