Description
abm | GFAT1 CRISPR Stable Knockout H1299 Cell Line | T6199
Glutamine:fructose-6-phosphate amidotransferase (GFAT1) is involved in the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway (HBP) which have been reported to have a critical role in the insulin resistance and progression of cancer. GFAT1 is the rate limiting step in the pathway, thus is a target of interest for study.
GFAT1 CRISPR Stable Knockout H1299 Cell Line was generated to study the effects of GFAT1. The cells may be rescued with treatment with exogenous GlcNAc (N-Acetylglucosamine) to maintain the propagation and glycosylation.
