Description
abm | Stable Bcl-xL Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line | T6081
The Stable Bcl-xL Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line was derived from primary embryonic cells from an 11-d-pregnant Bcl-x heterozygous mouse. After immortalization by transfection of the SV40 large T antigen, the mouse embryonic fibroblasts were transfected with wild-type Bcl-xL cDNA. This stable cell line is able to express B-cell lymphoma-extra-large (Bcl-xL) which is a major regulator of cellular apoptotic signalling by expressing antiapoptotic Bcl-2 proteins. The Stable Bcl-xL Mouse Embryonic Fibroblast Cell Line is a useful model in studying apoptosis regulation of tissue differentiation and homeostasis as well as in screening and development of new therapeutic strategies for cancer and other diseases.
