SARS-Related Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Lineage B.1_526_2021; Iota Variant (USA/NY-Wadsworth-21025952-01/2020 Isolate 1) is an enveloped positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus from the coronaviridae family and the Betacoronaviridae genus.

SARS-Related Coronavirus 2 USA/NY-Wadsworth-21025952-01/2020 Isolate 1 Was collected in March 2021 in New York, USA. Under the nomenclature system introduced by GISAID. (Global initiative of sharing all influenza data), SARS-Co-V2 USA/NY-Wadsworth-21025952-01/2020 Isolate 1. It was labeled as Gamma variant by the World Health Organization (WHO). The complete genome of SARS-Co-V2 USA/NY-Wadsworth-21025952-01/2020 Isolate 1 has been sequenced (GISAID: EPI_ISL_1465756)

Each frozen aliquot contains 1 mL of UV inactivated, clarified viral culture fluid. The pre-inactivation tighter was determined from an infectious aliquot.

 Viral inactivation is verified after UV inactivation by the absence of viral growth in tissue

culture-based infectivity assays.
