Magnetic polystyrene particles (micromer®-M)

• Are monodisperse particles consisting of an organic styrene-maleic acid copolymer matrix surrounded by nanoscale iron oxide,
• Are finally coated with a polymer layer that encapsulates the magnetite and at the same time introduces chemical functionalities,
• Can be easily separated with conventional permanent magnets,
• Are available as standard products with graded diameters ranging from 2 to 10 µm,
• Are offered with the surface groups NH2, PEG-NH2, COOH and PEG-COOH for the covalent binding of proteins, antibodies or other molecules,
• Are available with covalently bound proteins (avidin, streptavidin, protein A).
