Description

Magnetic silicate-reinforced dextran nanoparticles (nanomag®-silica)

Are produced using the core-shell method with a magnetite core and a dextran shell with simultaneous cross-linking of the dextran shell by silicate nanostructures,
Have a diameter of 250 nm and a magnetite content of 75-80%,
Can be separated with conventional permanent magnets,
are available with the surface groups OH (plain), NH2 and COOH for the covalent binding of proteins, antibodies and other molecules,
Are also available with a hydrophobic octadecyl surface (C18), for example for nucleic acid separation.
