Description
Tribo™ Mouse NGF ELISA Kit | TBS3070
Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) is a small secreted protein and a member of neurotrophin family. NGF plays important roles in the growth, maintenance, and survival of certain target sympathetic and sensory neurons. NGF is expressed by inflammatory cells and affects changes that lead to increased neural responsiveness. NGF could be a pivotal inflammatory mediator in tissue injury and inflammation or pain.
The Tribo™ Mouse NGF ELISA Kit is designed to detect mouse NGF levels quantitatively in cell culture supernatants and different tissue samples including skin, muscle, neural, serum and other biological samples. The plate has been coated with sheep polyclonal antibody against mouse NGF. Any NGF present in the sample or standard will be captured. A biotin-conjugated anti-murine NGF antibody is added as a detection antibody along with streptavidin-horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and an accompanying substrate. The reaction exhibits a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of NGF in the initial sample. The reaction is terminated by the addition of a stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450nm. The concentration of NGF in the samples is calculated opposite to the standard curve.
Kit Sizes:
1x 96-well plate.
Applications:
Direct Assays: quantitative NGF in plasma and serum.
Key Features:
- Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse NGF is typically less than 8.0 pg/mL.
- Specificity: This assay recognizes recombinant and natural mouse NGF. No cross-reactivity with any other cytokine observed.
