Each frozen aliquot contains 1mL of heat inactivated viral culture fluid by centrifugation to remove cellular debris. The pre-inactivation titer was determined from an infectious aliquot.

Viral inactivation is verified after heat inactivation by the absence of viral growth in tissue culture-based infectivity assays.
